This course develops the theory essential to understanding the algorithms that are increasingly found in modern signal processing applications, such as speech, image processing, digital radio and audio, statistical and adaptive systems. Topics include: analysis of nonstationary signals, transform techniques, Wiener filters, Kalman filters, multirate systems and filter banks, hardware implementation and simulation of filters, and applications of multirate signal processing. Matlab will be used extensively.
