Description:
Developing skills for drawing the human figure from observation in a variety of poses and media. This is the first of a sequence of three classes. Develops, skills in observation and perception. Later, analytic skills are combined with personal expression and invention. A variety of media is used to explore the implications of line and modeled form to explore the figure in compositional environments. The skeleton and muscles will be studied in relationship to the model poses. Open to non-majors with instructor's consent or departmental approval.
