Description:
Study of various types of systems on modern aircraft, including atmosphere control systems, pressurization, heating, cooling and ventilation, and oxygen systems. Various pneumatic and electrical operated ice and rain control systems will be explored. Topics also include the theory and operation of various fuel and fire protection systems currently in use on aircraft; identification of the various components and subsystems associated with the fuel systems, including fuel tanks, selector valves, and means of controlling the flow and storage of fuels; and fire protection systems, including detection, warning and extinguishing of airframe and engine fires.
