CJS 215 (Formerly CJ 210) - Preliminary Law Enforcement and Criminal Investigation This course will provide students with an overview of the fundamentals of the process of a criminal investigation. An exploration of related topics will include but not be limited to the history and development of the criminal investigations, the legal aspects, the role and responsibilities of the investigator, the process itself, and the tools and techniques the investigator will utilize in gathering information, the collection, prevention, interpretation and value of evidence as well as discussion of current trends and issues related to this field of study.
