A study of the molecular and macro-molecular basis of life. Discussion includes detailed studies of chromosomal structures and functions. DNA replication and recombinant DNA technology, processes of transcription and translation, mechanism and regulation of gene expression, highly integrated cellular signal transduction pathways, apoptosis, and on cogenesis. Hands-on experiences Lab sessions on fundamental techniques used in biology studies. Prerequisites: SLF110, SLF 125, SCH 340. Offered: Spring Term
