This course will examine the materials and processes of 2D design in conjunction with the principles which influence form and function. Design is explored in hands on applications using variety of media including traditional materials and the computer. Basic design is a foundational course for all areas in art and design and presents the fundamental building blocks of 2D composition and design. (Humanities General Education Course).
