Emphasizes ecology, behavior, and natural history of organisms in their natural surroundings. Develops a broader understanding of biodiversity conservation, climate change, and sustainable development threats and solutions. Locations may vary; themes may include tropical biodiversity and sustainability, ecology of islands and coastal systems, ecology of tropical montane forests, tropical herpetology, Appalachian biodiversity, and others.
