This course will introduce students to the major historical and cultural factors that have shaped the religious history of the USA, with some specific attention to regional phenomena. It will provide an opportunity to survey cur¬rent trends and issues facing religious groups in the USA. Religions other than Christi¬anity will be examined and special attention will be given to marginalized groups and women writers/thinkers in American religious culture.
