Also examines criticisms of development theory and practice from the south (Latin America, Asia a nd Africa), which call into question many of the tenets of mod ernization and work consciously to define anti-development st rategies. Includes examination of postcolonial social theory as well as environmental, feminist and other social movements in the south.
