Description: An introduction to traditional and experimental relief printing techniques with an exploration into hand carved and laser engraved linoleum and / or wood blocks to produce single and multi-block works which are printed on diverse surfaces. Students will be introduced to historically significant and contemporary artists working within the medium from diverse communities across the globe. Students will utilize relief printing to compose a body of work that aligns with their current studio practice. Notes: Lab Fee: $100. Offered in spring. Prerequisites: 12 earned hours.
