Prerequisite: ENG 1003 Freshman English I with grade "C" or higher, or 58 with special permission from Division Chair of General Education. Students must meet the criteria under either (a) or (b) as follows: (a) 19 or above on the ACT Reading Test or 44 or above on the ASSET Reading Test; (b) Completion of READ 0033 Advanced Reading Techniques with a grade of "C" or higher. Introduction to the analysis and interpretation of global literary works from several historical periods ranging from 1650 to contemporary and postmodern texts. Literature I is not a prerequisite for Literature II.
