4 hrs. lec., 3 hrs. lab, 5 credits Prerequisite: MS 123 and MS 133 or departmental approval. General Physics, PS 215, which is an Algebra and trigonometrybased physics course and is not recommended for physics and engineering majors. Topics include mechanics in one and two dimensions, fluids, thermodynamics, and mechanical waves and sound. Lab required. It is strongly recommended that the student should have completed College Algebra with a "C"or better.
