This course is designed to familiarize students with the development of the child from conception through adolescence. It includes discussions of the physical, cognitive, social-emotional, and moral development of children in cultural context. Emphasis is placed on the interrelationships among the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional domains and the mutual influences of these domains on development. Several theories of child development and methods of studying children are introduced. Prerequisite: PSY 121 (C or better) IAI: S6 903, ECE 912, EED 902, PSY 901, SPE 913
