This laboratory course emphasizes the anatomy and physiology of the human organism. Basic chemistry, metabolism, cells, tissues, various body systems and their interactions with the external and internal environments are discussed. This course is the second in a two-semester sequence. Emphasis in this sequence will be on the cardiovascular, digestive, respiratory, urinary, reproductive systems and their related fields. Prior successful completion of BIOL1003 General Biology and its lab, or acceptance into the LPN Program or its completion is strongly recommended. This course is to be taken concurrently with BIOL2223 Anatomy and Physiology II 1 credit.
