Students develop a basic understanding of linear and quadratic equations, functions and graphs, polynomial and rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, and other topics which may include conic sections, matrices, systems of equations, counting, probability, and series. Credit cannot be earned in both MATH 1400 and MATH 1450. Prerequisite: A grade of "C-" or better in MATH 0930, Math ACT score of 23 or 24, ALEKS score of 46 to 60, or placement at Math level 3 within one year prior to enrollment. (4 hrs lec)
