Prerequisite: None This course is designed to familiarize the student with commonly used computer applications. A brief history of computers is discussed, as well as required terminology. Students receive instruction on the use of a commonly used word processor, Internet browser, presentation graphics software and a spreadsheet package. The students will learn to use the Internet as a research tool. E-mail usage is encouraged. In this course, students will use the computer daily. It is recommended that students know how to type before enrolling in this course. Three lecture hours a week. Credit: Three semester hours.
