3 sem hrs cr This course emphasizes critical thinking, argumentative essay writing, in-depth extended research, and literary criticism. Prerequisite: ENGL 1010. Selected sections of ENGL 1010 and ENGL 1020 Composition I and II are taught using word processing. Students should check each semester's Schedule of Classes for the designation of these sections. Word processing and keyboarding experience are not required for enrollment in these designated sections but are an asset.
