Directed practice in the clinical setting in sleep laboratory or a sleep center. Departmental orientation, policies and procedures, individual body mechanics and patient transfer techniques. Emphasis in overseeing periodic cessation of respiratory activity based on the placement and monitoring of the following: electroencephalography (EEG), electroculography (EOG), electrocardiography (ECG), electromyography (EMG), pulse oximetry (SpO2), inductive plethysmography and airflow thermocouple.
