This course provides a framework for understanding and making art meaningful to the student's everyday life. It introduces the tools and methods of art making and ways artists reflect the world and express themselves through art. Writing assignments, class discussions, a museum visit, and creative projects guide student explorations of common themes that link artworks across cultures and time periods.
