This course surveys Contemporary World History, from the end of World War II to the present with a focus on Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. Significant forces, ideas, events and people that have influenced the world since 1945 are studied while course themes highlight how and why events transpired and created change in people's lives. Historical events are studied to provide an appreciation for their influence on contemporary society and the implications they may hold for the future.
