An introduction to the assessment and pathophysiology of the patient with cardiopulmonary disease. Topics include: ventilation, diffusion, O2 and CO2 transport, acid/base balance, circulation, ventilation/perfusion (VQ) relationships, compliance, resistance, deadspace, and basic ECG interpretation. Must earn a grade of "C" or better in this course to proceed.
