This is a course in the applied study of human movement. Students will study muscles of the body, origin and insertion sites, nerve innervation, associated bones and bony landmarks and action. Students will investigate planes of movement, types of joints, discuss directions and positions of the human body and perform basic structural assessment. Adhesions and Trigger Points will be discussed and palpated. This course will also look at the theory and practice of functional muscle testing. (Prerequisite(s): HLTH 1421 recommended OR instructor approval. Physical ability to palpate the human body and willingness to view selected Human Cadaver videos are recommended.) 3C/1/2/0
