In this clinical laboratory course, the student works under supervision in a hospital/clinic laboratory. The experience allows the students to refine lab techniques and apply knowledge learned in the didactic phase in an employment-like setting that offers realistic experiences unavailable in student laboratory sessions. Additionally, students acquire non-technical attributes including, but not limited to, communication, critical thinking, multitasking and independent work skills. Students rotate through hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, microbiology, immunohematology, immunology and coagulation departments. In addition, students perform routine specimen collection and processing procedures. (Prerequisite(s: Grade of "C" or betterin all MDLT program requirements) Variable 1-9 credits. 0/0/1-9
