1-3 credits Directed study and research. May be repeated in different subject areas not to exceed six credits. The instructor prior to the beginning of the semester will specify course work. Studies may include but are not limited to research papers, special projects, and leadership seminars. Fee. CLASS PERFORMANCE INSTRUCTION: 1 credit Group instruction is available in voice and piano for students with little or no previous training. Emphasis is placed on the rudiments of music, basic performance technique and general musicianship skills. Upon completion of one or a sequence of courses, students should be able to demonstrate a basic proficiency in singing or playing and a knowledge of music fundamentals.
