3 credits Prerequisite: ITP 203 or program approval This course will provide the student with information, knowledge, and skill building exercises for improving interpreting/ transliterating skills within the diverse Deaf community. Focus will be on the major 5 groups: African American/ Black, Native American, Hispanic/Latino/Puerto Rican/Mexican American, Euro-American, and Asian Pacific Islander American. Upon completion, students will enhance their interpreting skills within these diverse cultures of the Deaf community.
