1 credit Prerequisite: Admission to the program This course is an introduction to the language of medicine with emphasis on its use in physical therapy. Emphasis is on terminology of anatomical systems, root forms, prefixes and suffixes, surgery, symptomatology, psychiatric terms, pharmaceutical terms, anesthetic terms, and abbreviation. Upon completion, the student should be able to recognize this terminology as it is used in physical therapy.
