3 credits, 9 hours (0-0-9) Prerequisite: CAR 111 or instructor approval; Co-requisite: CAR 131 The course provides students with practical experience in building and installing roof and ceiling systems. Emphasis is placed on job site safety, layout and cutting of rafters and joists, cutting and building trusses, installing roof decking and roofing materials. Upon completion, the student should be able to cut and install rafters, joists and trusses, cut and apply roof decking and roofing materials, and apply safety rules for job site.
