3 credits, 9 hours (0-0-9) Co-requisite: COS 131 or instructor approval This course provides practical applications related to the care of the skin and related structures. Emphasis is placed on facial treatments, product application, skin analysis, massage techniques, facial make-up, and hair removal. Upon completion, the student should be able to prepare clients, assemble sanitized materials, follow procedures for product application, recognize skin disorders, and demonstrate facial massage movements, cosmetic application, and hair removal using safety and sanitary precautions.
