3 credits, 5 hours (2-0-3) Prerequisite: Permission of instructor This course introduces the basic operation and installation of home and business security and fire alarm systems as well as low voltage (under 30v) systems such as lighting, door chimes and intercom systems. Emphasis is placed on installation of home and business security and fire alarm systems. Upon completion, students should be able to install residential and commercial security systems in accordance with code and directives.
