Prerequisite: NURS 112, BIOL 145, PSYC 200. Psychosocial Nursing Concepts is designed to assist students in developing critical thinking skills as they utilize the nursing process and nursing skills to plan and provide care for selected clients. This course will include the nursing care and management of pediatric, adolescent and adult clients with a focus on the nurse's role in the care of individuals who experience difficulty with psychosocial adaptation. 3.5 lecture hours; 4.5 lab hours per week.
