Cross currents of modern thought of 20th century dramaturgy and theatre practice. Reading, analysis, and viewing of selected plays when feasible. (When repeated, the student will go beyond previous objectives by viewing and critiquing different plays that were not covered in the first enrollment of the course. Additionally, the student will write an extended Self-Assessment, evaluating the onstage or offstage production role that he or she explores. Beyond other plays on the reading list, the main topic play to be explored will change each semester.) Maximum of six credit hours may be earned. (Repeatable one time.) 2 lecture hours; 2 lab hours per week.
