Prerequisite : Score of 62-85 on the COMPASS reading test or completion of REA 093 with a "C" or above. Improvement of reading skills to prepare students for college level reading. The course emphasizes vocabulary, critical reading, and comprehension, especially in social science and natural science reading. Students with scores of 62-85 on the COMPASS reading test who are working toward an AA/AS degree are required to take this course. Certain career programs may also require this course. 3 lecture hours; 0 lab hours per week.
