This course is designed for all students who need to establish the basic skills essential for college-level reading. The course emphasizes comprehension, vocabulary development, computer lab exercises, and reading techniques for different academic areas. Students must earn a grade of "C" or higher in order to move forwardto the next level. Students who score 0-13 on the ACT, or 23-33 on the ASSET Reading test are required to enroll in and pass this class before moving forward to the next level.
