This course is designed to present strategies to improve reading comprehension, speed, critical thinking skills, and to provide vocabulary enrichment. The correlation between active reading and reading expression of ideas will be stressed. Students must earn a grade of "C" or higher in order to move forward to the nextlevel. Students who score 14-18 on the ACT, or 34-43 on the ASSET Reading test are required to enroll in and pass this class before moving forward to the next level.
