Course is designed to meet DWI detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST) training certification requirements established by the National Highway Traffic and Safety Agency (NHTSA). Course covers detection and general deterrence, legal environment, note taking and testimony, vehicles in motion, personal contact, pre-arrest screening, concepts and principles of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, test battery demonstrations, "dry run" practicesessions, testing subjects, processing arrested suspect and preparation for trial, report writing exercises and moot court, and written proficiency examinations.
