The course focuses on children from birth to age 8 and covers all aspects of a child's physical and cognitive growth and socio-emotional development. The students will be introduced to ways to observe and evaluate development and rec- ognize possible delays in development. The course content is based upon guidelines established by the Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition and covers functional areas 7 and 8.
