Credits -3 Lecture - 3 The theories and practices of stress management will be presented in this course. Techniques for coping, such as relaxation, visualization, imagery, meditation, exercise, nutrition, rational-emotive thinking, assertion and time management will be employed. Students will be required to assess the impact of various stressors upon their well-being and to design coping styles that are preventative and which promote their mental and physical wellbeing. The focus of this class is educational, not therapeutic. Emphasis will be equally divided among academic and participatory requirements.
