hours credit. Prerequisites: AH 110 and AH 212 with a C or better. The applicant must be an Emergency Medical Technician in good standing with the State of Kansas Board of Emergency Medical Services. EMT-D is an advanced class for the EMT, providing the student with knowledge and skills to perform standard defibrillation on the patient with a life threatening arrhythmia. The student will learn basic cardiology, arrhythmia recognition and use of a cardiac monitor.
