This course will enable the student to gain valuable insight into the teaching profession by hands-on exploration of current theories in pedagogy. The student will be able to gather, assemble, review, and analyze information helpful in choosing career options in the teaching field. They will be able to organize leadership tasks and develop the necessary skills to continue their preparation for teaching, demonstrating a professional attitude toward the teaching profession. This required course for education majors must be taken before a student enters the required professional program in the junior or senior year. Ten hours of observation/participation (30 hours total) will be required at each level, elementary, middle level, and high school.
