3 hours credit. This course will enable the student to use image-editing software to manipulate graphics and prepare them for publication on the World Wide Web. The student will use digital palettes, tools and a variety of techniques to create images and then modify their size, appearance and resolution. The student will develop typical web images including buttons, rollovers and animations. The student will apply techniques to optimize web images so they maintain detail during file compression. Before enrolling in this course, the student must be competent in basic computer skills.
