3 hours credit. Prerequisite: HM 225 with a C or better. This course will enable the student to review the skills learned from previously planned special events and partner with an outside agency to work directly with the event planner to execute a community-based special event. The student will be responsible for and will gain first-hand managerial experience from an outside event planner from the idea stage to the planning stage, to the execution stage, and to the evaluation of the event.
