credit. This course will enable the student to use graphics, authoring, and audio software commonly used to produce multimedia projects. The focus is on hands-on design, development and production of multimedia for online delivery. The student will apply design guidelines that lead to effective multimedia. During the course the student will create a multimedia web site using HTML and JavaScript and an interactive movie incorporating text, graphics, animation and sound using a full-featured authoring program. Before enrolling in Introduction to Multimedia Design, students should be competent in basic computer operation.
