3 hours credit. This course will enable the student to apply knowledge of American politics to his/her life and the political system that affects individuals. The student will study federalism, including the Constitution, civil liberties, political socialization, the media, political parties, the branches of government and foreign policy. The student will recognize the concerns of diverse populations, relationships between the federal government and current events and how they impact his/her life.
