It provides a structured learning experience to broaden the student's comprehension of principles and competencies associated with the first level of the nursing program. Topics of specific interest to the student, augmenting the nursing curriculum are developed with objectives based on individual student needs and/or requirements to apply learned skills to out-of-class activities or a work-related environment.
