3 hours credit. Prerequisites: RR 102 with a C or better. This course will enable the student to use the computercompatible steno machine and computer-assisted translation (CAT) software. The student will gain an understanding of realtime reporting information systems and communications technology. The student will develop the ability to write a conflict-free realtime translation theory on a computercompatible steno machine, utilizing proper punctuation and grammar. The student will develop reading and writing skills on literary, jury charge, and testimony material at 40 and 60 wpm with emphasis on high realtime translation accuracy and speed development.
