This is the third of four semester courses designed to provide students with advanced classroom and advanced laboratory experience in current and emerging networking technology that will empower them to enter employment and/or further education and training in the computer networking field. This four-course series is focused on providing the students with the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully pass the Cisco Certified Network Professional examination. Instruction includes, but is not limited to: Switching Concepts; Virtual LANs; Placing Catalyst Switches in Your Network; Catalyst Switch Review; Catalyst Switch Architecture; Catalyst Switch Hardware; Configuring the Supervisor Module and Fast Ethernet; Catalyst Switch Software; Managing the Catalyst Switch; Troubleshooting the Catalyst Switch; Catalyst 2900 Series Features; and Configuring Catalyst 2900 Series Switches.
