This course introduces the student to the fundamentals of the RPG programming language using the mid-range computer. Emphasis is placed upon the understanding and coding of specification forms and the concepts involved in a structured format for typical business applications. Topics include language syntax, the RPG Cycle, input/output operations, arithmetic operations, control break processing, exception output, and sequential file processing. Continued implementation of current programming practices, i.e., structured coding, is emphasized. Offered: As Needed Prerequisites: CIS 127 and CIS 128 Applicable toward graduation at CSC where program structure permits: Degree or Certificate - AAS, AGE, All Certificates General Education - Not Applicable
