This course is an introduction to pathology relating causative factors to clinical manifestations. The study of gross and microscopic lesions of the teeth and related oral tissues will be included. Emphasis is placed on concepts of development/growth disturbances, diseases of microbiological origin, injury and repair, metabolic disturbances, and oral manifestations of various diseases and conditions. Offered: Fall Prerequisite: Successful completion of second summer session dental hygiene courses Applicable toward graduation at CSC where program structure permits: Degree or Certificate -AAS, AGE, All Certificates General Education - Not Applicable
