This course introduces students to general sonography beginning with the techniques and protocols of abdominal imaging. Anatomical variations and pathological conditions are studied with respect to their sonographic appearance. Emphasis is also placed on the acquisition of pertinent clinical history and the evaluation of laboratory and related imaging reports. Offered: Fall/Spring (alternating) Prerequisite: Admission to the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or consent of instructor. Applicable toward graduation at CSC where program structure permits: Degree or Certificate -AAS, AGE, All Certificates General Education - Not Applicable
