This course introduces the student to magnetic resonance imaging procedures. Patient screening and scanning protocols for examination of the head, neck, spine, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, musculoskeletal, and vascular systems will be addressed. The MRI technologist's role in identifying disease processes and trauma conditions will also be emphasized as it relates to the selection of MR imaging planes, sequences, and parameters. Offered: Spring Prerequisite: Admission to the Magnetic Resonance Imaging program or consent of instructor. Applicable toward graduation at CSC where program structure permits: Degree or Certificate - AAS, AGE, All Certificates General Education - Not Applicable
